The Ten Commandments are the basic laws given to Mankind by God. Or so it says in the Bible.
But whatever their true history, they are the basic laws that govern good behaviour, and
breaking them calls forth the anger of the Christian God, with much fire and brimstone and eternal damnation.
But Pendragons Law Number 3 states: "Rules are made to be broken.." And so the Ten
Commandments are no more than a shopping list of things to do...
Below is how I am doing in my quest to break all Ten of them. Well everyone needs a hobby!!!!
1: Thou shalt have no other Gods before me.
Easy one!!!!. As a Welshman and full blooded Celt, my ancestors were Druids. And I myself
am a student of many Esoteric religions. I have no belief in one overall all powerful, all
seeing God. But I do have beliefs, and as such place other Gods before the Christian God..
2: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven
above, or that is the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
As stated for Commandment Number 1. I am a student of the Occult, and in my studies and
research I have had call to make images, or altars to other gods and spirits..
3: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them.
Once again due to my studies I have had call to bow down to other gods... Well I am doing great so
far.. three Commandments down and all from just being a student of the occult...
4: Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in Vain.
This has got to be the most commonly broken commandment of the lot. After all who has never
growled "oh god!!!" when things go really bad. Also I think this was the first commandment
I ever broke, and I keep breaking it every week..
5: Honour thy father and thy mother.
Hummm.... I think not... I spent 6 years working alongside my father on building sites, and
as such he got to be more of a friend than a father. As such I stopped honouring him many years ago,
well that's if I ever did ;0).. I live by my own rules and as such I only honour people worthy of it.
6: Thou shalt not kill.
TRICKY!!!!!...........
Ok.. now humm, what can I say that will not get me in trouble with the police... OK.. it says thou shalt not kill,
does that mean kill anything? we all kill bugs, ants, spiders almost everyday.. do they count???.. or does it mean
animals?? cats, dogs, sheep, cows??? Does that mean anyone who has ever been hunting or fishing has killed and broken this commandment??
well I have broken it... And all I will say is there has been no more anonymous emails since.
7: Thou shalt not commit adultery.
I am not sure about this one.. if having an affair with someone who has been in a steady
relationship for three years counts as adultery, then yes I have broken this one too....
8: Thou shalt not steal.
Ha.. I am the pendragon.. and if it's not bolted down I will swipe it. Hell if it is bolted
down and I have tools on me I will still swipe it.. ;0)
I just have a tendency to acquire things.. odd things.. Like Lord Lucan who is currently living in a Manchester Flat..
9: Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Done this one too.. after all we all tell lies.. we all blame other people for things we or our friends
have done.. Its human nature... And after all I am just Human...
10: Thou shalt not covet thy neighbours house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbours wife,
nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbours...
Yeap... done this... Coveted my neighbours daughter.... his car.... his motorbike.... and his wife..... But mainly his daughter
.... DAMN CUTE!!!!!!!!!
